the learning and teaching of Shukokai Karate with the
very unique style developed by Master Shigeru Kimura
10th Dan. Master Kimura tirelessly dedicated his life to
develop / perfect and teach a
technique that has proved to be prolific in both
Traditional and Sport Karate. Please take time to look

where we have come from and where we are today in a fast
changing world of karate" Sensei Phil Whyte and Kimura
Shukokai Dudley are proud to be part of The Shukokai
Karate Federation of Great Britain which is headed by
Shihan Eddie Daniels 8th Dan, Shihan Daniels regularly
teaches at Dudley Karate Club and many of our students
eagerly go to Sensei's Dojo in nearby Blackheath where
you are always guaranteed a full and exciting lesson.
KSD Karate club was founded in 2004 by Sensei Phil
Whyte, since then the club has continued to grow and
grow. KSD karate club is home to World, European and
National champions of all ages. Currently Sensei Phil
Whyte is reigning National champion which he has won a
staggering 8 times on the bounce. This sets the bench
mark for all the students within the club. However KSD
karate club is not just about winning medals. Some
people come for enjoyment, some for a workout and others
for the social aspect. On all fronts KSD is a fun and
welcoming club where everyone of all age, size and
ability are welcome.
